Import information relating to how we work together to make great flags.

Quotations.

All Quotations are normally valid for 30 days from date of issue based on our understanding of your requirements. Should our understanding of your order change within that period then we reserve the right to alter our quotation based on our revised understanding of the quote.

Value Added Tax (VAT).

As we are primarily a trade supplier our prices or quotes do NOT include VAT unless confirmed to you in writing. For orders made from within the UK or the European Union, VAT is added where applicable at the current rate as at date shown on the invoice.

Artwork & Proofs.

In all artwork matters it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the artwork is in the correct format. Unless specified separately in writing. The Banner flag People will simply re-proof the artwork back to you in order to ensure the proof is as expected It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all colours, spellings, fonts etc. are correct at the proof stage.

Banners will be printed using CMYK profiles as per the customers artwork received. Any spot colours will be converted to CMYK using Adobe Illustrator conversion.

Once a proof has been accepted there can be no recourse for any errors omissions or exceptions.

Clients are required to have obtained any permission needed for use of all images supplied to us. The customer shall indemnify us against any third party claims associated with the use of those images.

Payment Terms.

Payment shall be made in full before going to print, unless we have agreed special payment terms in writing. Should a customer wish to cancel an order prior to going to print, and then a refund of 60% of the order value will be refunded. Once the order has gone to print the there can be no cancellation or refund.

All goods remain the property of The Printing People Limited (T/A The Plastic Card People) until payment is received in full. Interest may be charged on late payments in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. All goods are supplied on a pro-forma basis, shipment not being made until full payment is received, again unless specified terms stating otherwise in writing have been agreed by The Printing People Limited.

Overdue Accounts.

We reserve the right to charge you for any further debt and/or fees incurred by The Printing People Limited due to any legal or collection charges, where it is necessary to obtain payment from you of an overdue account through a third party or Court proceedings.

Turnaround Time.

All turnaround times are based on working days (Monday to Friday) and exclude all public holidays. The printing turnaround time starts when we receive cleared funds for your order and a written confirmation of proof has been received.. All orders confirmed and paid for before 1:30pm will begin production the same working day. If the order is confirmed and paid for after 11am the first day of the turnaround time will be the following working day. All turnaround times quoted are a typical turnaround and are not guaranteed unless confirmed to you in writing.

Delivery.

We will use our best endeavour to dispatch all orders within the turnaround time specified on our website. However these timings should be treated as estimates and not a guarantee of supply unless specified in writing to you as a guaranteed time.. As the purchaser you must accept the actual delivery date and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses suffered by you the purchaser or any other party as a result of any delay in delivery. Especially in cases where third parties i.e. subcontractors or carriers are involved. Neither will any such failure to meet a delivery date constitute a breach of contract on our part.

Special deliveries via alternative carriers and or Saturday deliveries can normally be arranged but will usually be subject to an additional charge.

Accepting Delivery by Carrier – please ensure before signing for your Banner flags that you check them for any damages. Should you sign for the goods as undamaged then realise they have been damaged in transit you will have waived your rights to claim for replacement.

Non Delivery – Should you state that you have not received your parcel and consider it missing, please inform us and allow up to 8 working days for an investigation to take place. This will give us time in conjunction with our third party carriers, to attempt to locate the whereabouts prior to any further remedy being made available.

Warranty.

All our flags and components are guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months. In the unlikely event that you should in anyway be unhappy with the flag or any of the components due to manufacturing defects, just let us know and we will of course replace them for you.

Please note that our outdoor product range by definition is classed as temporary. They are not designed to be out in all weathers and can easily get damaged. With regard to the bases for the banner range these must be filled only with either water or sand ( where appropriate) and must never be “dragged” across a floor as this could damage the bases and cause them to crack and leak. The base should not be moved once full but should be emptied in situ or carried above the surface of the ground.

Some of the parts are made of metal and as such if left out in wet conditions can show signs of rust and this should be considered fair wear and tear and not claimable and cannot be treated as a manufacturing fault.

In high winds (above 18mph)the pole sets, bases and flags can get damaged and this cannot be treated as a manufacturing fault or any claim against “not fit for purpose” Flag systems must be dismantled in high winds to avoid any damage.

Customs duties and local taxes.

At your request we can dispatch your flags outside the EU using a third party courier service. The delivery charge quoted does not include any local taxes and duty that may become charged at point of entry prior to release of goods. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay these local charges as they become due.

Variations.

We print using standard weight inks and as such minor colour variation may occur beyond our control and as such will have no liability for.

The colours viewed on your computer screen are only an indication of the final print result. If you have not signed off on a colour proof or supplied copy for us to match the colours then the print job will run to standard ink weights/colours and we will accept NO liability for any colour discrepancies.

Re-print orders may show a slight difference from the first or previous print, as colour variations are not avoidable. Should you require an exact match to a previous order then we would require an original hard copy of the previous order to match against

Liability.

We exclude all representations, warranties and conditions (including, without limitation, the conditions implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and the use of reasonable care and skill) to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We will not be liable for direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising under these terms and conditions, whether arising in tort, contract, or otherwise, including, without limitation, any loss of profit, contracts, business, goodwill, data, income, revenue or anticipated savings.

We will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising under these terms and conditions.

Claims.

We request that any claims shall be made to us in writing within 2 working days of receipt of goods or such goods shall be deemed to comply as to quality and quantity within the terms of the contract.

After submitting a claim, samples must be received within 5 working days for review otherwise it shall be deemed that you have withdrawn your complaint.

Force Majeure.

Whereas we endeavour to dispatch orders with our estimated turnaround times, there are certain situations which are beyond our control which we are unable to accept any liability. For example, these include Power Failures, Industrial Action, Natural Disasters, War & Civil Disruptions.
